Get your groove on at Fela Shrine
Afrobeat music is taking over the world and the New Afrika Shrine known as the Fela Shrine is the capital of the genre.
Run by Femi & Yeni Kuti children of the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, the open-air entertainment centre located in Ikeja is popular for its live music performances and the no holds barred crowd. If you don’t mind the smell of Marij*ana renting the air, the Fela shrine is a place to be.
The food, the drinks and entertainment there is quite affordable. Even French President Emmanuel Macron during his last visit to Nigeria visited the shrine. Macron recalls being a regular patron during his internship days in Nigeria in the early 2000s’. He is reputed to have reiterated the popular saying: There’s a popular saying that goes thus: ”What happens in the shrine stays at the shrine”.

Computer village, locally referred to as Otigba market is a huge ICT market in Lagos. Wikipedia credits it as the largest ICT market in Africa. Whether you’re looking for a brand-new iPhone or a Samsung, Tecno or Nokia phone, you’ll find it and more at computer village.
Apart from sales of phones and laptops, there are also a lot of technicians who engage in the repair of various devices.
Due to the chaotic nature of the market, people have reported a loss of personal belongings and other precious items at the market. However, if you’re very vigilant, you would not fall victim to fraudsters and street urchins roaming the market.

Allen Avenue is a business district by day and a red night district by night. Once the corporate people go home to sleep, give it a few hours at the night crawlers come out to play. There are as many banks on Allen Avenue as there are strip clubs and Suya spots.
Best days to experience Allen are from Wednesday nights up till the weekend.
