Nigeria has become Paypal’s second biggest market in Africa less than one year after launching its services.
Malvina Goldfeld, head of Paypal’s business development unit for sub Saharan Africa expressed the company’s joy at achieving the new milestone.
Although its services are not fully activated in Nigeria (Nigerians can only use Paypal to make payments without receiving payments), opening the full service to Nigeria will see it overtake South Africa to become Paypal’s biggest market in Africa.
Kenya is currently the third biggest market in Africa for the financial giant. I hear the Kenyans are really good when it comes to leveraging technology.
