Samsung electronics has launched into the Nigerian market, one of the most sophisticated gadgets of our time, the Samsung Galaxy S6edge. This product which is the latest addition to the Company’s S series, was unveiled at a media event on the 17th of April, 2015.
The event which took place at the VCP hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, was hosted by the Company’s brand ambassador in Nigeria, Banky W. In attendance were top media companies, distributors and partners of the brand and lovers of the Samsung Galaxy phone.
At the event, Mr. Brovo Kim, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa took guests through the history of the creation of mobile phones making reference to the first mobile phone that was ever produced which was like a brick and went on to explain the advancement in the innovations and technological improvements of Samsung as a brand which is made evident in the Samsung Galaxy S6edge. In his words, style meets technology as the device which is made of glass and metal give a rather sleek design making it the ultimate fashion accessory whilst delivering the best services to consumers with its mind blowing features.
Experiencing the product at the event yesterday, I was impressed not just by the dual curved edges of the phone or the camera quality which is super sharp for its 16mp primary camera and the 5mp front camera but the power feature of the device which enables you to enjoy super charge. With 10minutes of charge, you can use the phone for 4 hours and in 35minutes, the phone gets charged from 0-100%. Still on time saving, it takes 0.7 seconds to turn the device on. It enables you to also charge the device with a wireless device which you have to purchase seperately. It also comes in 7 variants with the green shade being my best of the variants.
The device is presently available for sale for 160,000 Naira for the 16gb and 180,000 Naira for the 32gb. The future has been brought closer to us meeting most of our expectations.
