Want to escape the Lagos chaos and struggle but on a budget?

Lagos may be notoriously expensive, but it doesn’t have to be for you.

From sculpture to bridges and culture, here’s our pick of free things to do in Lagos.

1. Admire the view from Lekki – Ikoyi link bridge

Take a stroll across the Lekki – Ikoyi link bridge for nothing. With separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians, the bridge is the best spot in the city for a view across the ocean.

It also makes for a romantic Valentine’s Day or date spot, one that won’t break the bank and is pretty unique.

Make sure you check out Freedom park. The park features music, dance and theatre. With the exception of a few benefit concerts, all these events are free, spanning the whole year. Freedom Park is always a great budget Lagos attraction, with gorgeous flower gardens and active nightlife.
